Overview

This E-Sign Consent explains how Bankrate Lending and participating lenders may use electronic records and signatures instead of paper, and what you're agreeing to if you choose to do business with us online.

Important: You must consent to this before you can submit a request through this website. If you'd rather not do business electronically, contact us using the details in Section 08 to discuss your options.

01
Scope of This Consent

This consent applies to any disclosure, agreement, notice, or record related to your personal loan request, whether provided by Bankrate Lending or by a participating lender you're matched with. This may include:

  • Loan applications and disclosures
  • Terms and conditions, privacy policies, and other legal agreements
  • Approval notices, denial notices, and adverse action notices
  • Payment and account records, where applicable

Each participating lender may have its own separate e-sign consent for documents specific to your loan — this consent covers records provided directly by Bankrate Lending.

03
Hardware & Software Requirements

To access, view, and retain electronic records, you'll need:

  • A device with internet access and a current web browser
  • A valid email address for receiving electronic communications
  • Software capable of viewing PDF files, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • A printer or local storage, if you want to print or save copies for your records

If your hardware or software changes in a way that could affect your ability to receive electronic records, we may ask you to confirm your consent again.

04
How to Get a Paper Copy

You can request a paper copy of any electronic record we've provided by contacting us using the details in Section 08. We may charge a reasonable fee to cover the cost of providing paper copies, and we'll tell you the fee, if any, before processing your request.

05
How to Withdraw Your Consent

You can withdraw your consent to electronic records at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 08. If you withdraw consent:

  • It will apply only to records not yet provided to you — it won't undo anything already completed electronically
  • It may affect our ability to continue processing an in-progress request, since our platform operates electronically
  • Any participating lender you've already been matched with may have their own separate withdrawal process for their own records

Withdrawing consent does not affect the legal validity of any electronic record or signature provided before your withdrawal takes effect.

06
Updating Your Contact Information

It's your responsibility to keep your email address and other contact information current so we can deliver electronic records to you. You can update your information at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 08.

07
Confirming Your Consent

By proceeding past this point and submitting a request through this website, you confirm that:

  • You've read and understood this E-Sign Consent
  • You have the hardware and software described in Section 03
  • You consent to receive electronic records and to sign electronically in connection with your request

You can print or save a copy of this consent for your records at any time using your browser's print or save function.
